A working meeting was held on 19 July 2026 between the leadership and representatives of the Azerbaijan State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control and management and members of the Azerbaijan Textile Association (ATA).
The meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen cooperation aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s textile industry, promoting the implementation of international standards, encouraging local production through public procurement, improving product quality, and expanding the sector’s export potential.
Chairman of the State Service Elnur Baghirov congratulated the Azerbaijan Textile Association on becoming a member of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) and highlighted the Service’s ongoing efforts to support businesses in implementing best practice standards and improving market compliance.
Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Textile Association Farida Akhundova expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to meet and discussed the current development priorities of Azerbaijan’s textile industry. She spoke about key trends in domestic and international textile sectors and emphasized the importance of efficient issuance of certificates of origin for export products, expanding the participation of domestic manufacturers in public procurement, and strengthening long-term cooperation between the public and private sectors.
The meeting was held in a constructive and productive atmosphere. Both sides exchanged views on key priorities for the development of the textile industry and agreed to maintain regular dialogue to advance the implementation of international standards, improve the business environment, and further strengthen public-private cooperation.
