The Azerbaijan Textile Association (ATA), the leading institutional platform representing Azerbaijan’s textile and apparel sector, has taken another important step within its international cooperation strategy by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Textile Merchants Group (TEXMAS, Dubai), one of the leading textile trade platforms in the United Arab Emirates.
The Memorandum was signed by Farida Akhundova, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Textile Association, and Cagdis Amarani, Honorary Chairman of TEXMAS.
The signed document establishes an institutional framework aimed at promoting the access of Azerbaijani textile and apparel products to the UAE market, strengthening B2B relations, and fostering commercial cooperation between textile enterprises of both countries.
Key Areas of Cooperation:
• Trade Promotion and Information Exchange
TEXMAS will share information with ATA regarding importers and distributors operating in Dubai, while ATA will provide TEXMAS with detailed information on Azerbaijani textile manufacturers, including their production capacities and product portfolios.
• Expansion of Business Relations
Organization of Azerbaijan–UAE textile business forums, B2B meetings, and networking sessions, as well as facilitation of direct connections between manufacturers and importers.
• Market Support and Regulatory Guidance
TEXMAS will provide Azerbaijani companies with support regarding UAE market regulations, import procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Education and Experience Exchange
Promotion of knowledge exchange on global textile trade trends, sustainability, innovation, and market transformation.
In accordance with the Memorandum, the parties will establish a Joint Working Group to define a concrete action plan and oversee the implementation of cooperation. The document will remain in force for a period of three years from the date of signing.
ATA invites its member companies to express their interest in participating in the Joint Working Group established under the ATA–TEXMAS Memorandum. Interested members are encouraged to contact Firuza Mansumzada for further details at +994 50 290 25 51
