ATA Executive Director Farida Akhundova Participates in Conference on “Constitution and Sovereignty – The Development of Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan”

On April 25, 2025, the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Textile Association (ATA), Farida Akhundova, participated in the conference themed “Constitution and Sovereignty – The Development of Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.”
This year’s event coincided with the 10th anniversary of Entrepreneurs’ Day in Azerbaijan, highlighting once again the crucial role of government support and economic reforms in fostering entrepreneurial growth.

Speaking to the media after the event, Farida Akhundova provided extensive insights into the ongoing state support for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan, with a particular focus on the development of the non-oil sectors, including the textile industry. She emphasized that the recent transparency and digitalization measures in taxation and customs processes have created a more favorable environment for business operations.

Highlighting the activities of the Azerbaijan Textile Association, Akhundova underscored efforts to establish effective dialogue with government authorities, the launch of sectoral training and awareness initiatives, and the preparation of specific policy proposals addressing industry challenges.

She also outlined the key priorities for the textile sector, including strengthening the domestic market, advancing workforce development, and aligning with the “Azerbaijan 2030” social and economic development priorities.
In her remarks, Akhundova stressed the importance of promoting Azerbaijan’s national textile brand in global markets and expanding international partnerships to strengthen the industry’s competitiveness.

The Azerbaijan Textile Association remains committed to supporting the sustainable growth and global positioning of the country’s textile sector, contributing to Azerbaijan’s broader vision of building a competitive and resilient economy.
