On February 11, 2024, a meeting was held between the Azerbaijan Textile Association (ATA) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The meeting took place at the EBRD’s Baku office and focused on discussions regarding the development of the textile industry.
During the meeting, members of the Association highlighted key challenges and needs within the sector. EBRD representatives provided information on the available financial and technical support aimed at fostering the growth of the textile industry. The proposed services included low-interest loans, grant programs, skill development training, and advisory services.
The Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Textile Association, Farida Akhundova, presented the Association’s plans to support the sector. She also shared her views on possible areas of cooperation with the EBRD, emphasizing the importance of joint initiatives for the sustainable development of the textile industry.
This meeting is considered a significant step towards strengthening Azerbaijan’s textile sector, enhancing international support, and increasing export potential. The Azerbaijan Textile Association will continue its efforts to develop industrial enterprises and expand cooperation with international organizations.
